University of Buea (UB)
The University of Buea (UB) is a public university located in Buea, in the South-West Region of Cameroon. It is one of Cameroon’s major institutions of higher education and has established itself as a centre for teaching, research, innovation, professional development, and community engagement.
The University traces its origins to the Buea University Centre, established in the 1980s, and became a full-fledged university in 1993 following the major reforms of the Cameroonian higher education system. From its beginnings, the institution has developed around a strong commitment to academic excellence, research, professional training, and service to society.

The University of Buea offers a broad range of academic and professional programmes at Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD levels, covering diverse fields of knowledge. HTTTC Kumba and the University of Buea
Within this broader institutional framework, HTTTC Kumba contributes to the University’s mission through professional and technical teacher education, research, innovation, and capacity development.
The College provides an important link between tertiary education, technical and vocational training, industry, research, and professional practice. The Journal of Tertiary and Industrial Sciences (JTIS) and the HTTTC Kumba International Conference further support this commitment by creating platforms for research dissemination, academic exchange, innovation, and collaboration.
